Life is PRECIOUS ❤️ and we must all do our part to preserve it.

“If you can save one life, you saved mankind.” – Jewish proverb.
Let’s be PROACTIVE rather than reactive.

To parents and family members,

Suicides are becoming more prevalent due to the stressors in our children’s lives.

Some contributing factors are easy access to information, social media, financial difficulties, job loss, family tensions, pressure to prove themselves, facing hardships or feeling inadequate to fit our society’s standards, underlying medical problems, or mental health challenges.

We can all help prevent such incidents as parents, family members, and community members.
We can always observe SIGNS in our children, family members, or friends if they are going through a difficult time or are in a DIRE situation.

if the symptoms present a red flag, please ACT and get HELP. Talk to them and ask what’s happening calmly and attentively. Most importantly, LISTEN to and validate their feelings. Tell them you care and love them.
Try to understand their emotional state of mind. Do not judge, give advice, or ask them not to feel that way because you want to encourage them to approach you if they are feeling depressed or not wanting to live.

Signs to look for:
1. If they are deviating from their base personality when they seem to be going through stressful or challenging situations.

We all feel this way to some extent. So do not panic id you get notice aomething different
we must look for concerning and extreme behaviors and also cluster of concerning behaviors

For example, if they are usually very outgoing but suddenly prefer to isolate themselves and do not want to engage with anyone (extreme change in their behavior), Or If they are generally reserved, they suddenly start overly socializing, giving away their favorite belongings, or saying goodbye. Pay attention to what’s going on.
2. Talking about death, having no meaning in life, questioning their purpose, and seeming melancholy.
3. Failed in recent exams or relationships, or job revelation and being overly emotional about it, or feeling hopeless, despair, angry, or guilty.
4. If they attempt any self-harming behaviors or suicide attempts. There is a greater risk of following through if not intervened. We need to act fast in this situation.
